The Orchestre symphonique du Conservatoire de la Montérégie (OSCM) dazzled music lovers with it's latest concert on April 14 at the Maison symphonique of Place des Arts.

The opening, Gustav Mahler's Adagietto, was amplified by the grace of the dancers of the École supérieure de ballet du Québec (original choreography by Anne Dryburgh).

The winner of the 2024 Vincent-d'Indy School of Music Concerto Competition, pianist Laurence Cossette, captivated the audience with Chopin's Piano Concerto No.1. The first half concluded with Jean Sibelius' powerful Symphony No. 1.

The second half ended with a tribute to Sir Paul McCartney supported by the OSCM and it's band. The choir of the Opéra Bouffe du Québec and singer Simon Pierre joined the ensemble for a breathtaking finale.

Conductor: Félix Ste-Marie
Artistic direction: Marie-Anne Rozankovic
