The À la fortune du pot not-for-profit organization (NPO) was created in 2018 by citizens of Saint-Lambert who banded together to promote the discovery of fresh produce and processed products from local environmentally-responsible farmers, and to facilitate access to them.
Guided by its mission of bringing local farmers and producers closer to urban consumers, À la fortune du pot took over the management of the summer farmers’ market, an event much-appreciated by Lambertans. Its proposal was accepted by the City on March 18, 2019. The management team wanted to breathe new life into the market and better integrate the weekly event into our town centre’s commercial life. It succeeded in turning it into a lively venue where people congregate and chat, much like traditional markets in bygone days.
Citizens and businesses wishing to support the À la fortune du pot NPO can obtain a membership card for $20.
Old Saint-Lambert farmers’ market
The Old Saint-Lambert farmers’ market is a weekly gathering of citizens and local farmers offering fresh produce from environmentally responsible “full-circuit” farming operations.
Every Thursday from May to October, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., on Hooper Street in front of the multi-purpose centre, you’re invited to take advantage of a range of tasty products from regional producers.
The market is the perfect place to stock up on fresh produce. Come treat yourself and make great discoveries!
