Since 2022 was proclaimed the Year of the Garden by Canada, The Saint-Lambert Horticultural Society will be offering a $500 grant to each of the primary schools in Saint-Lambert to organize a horticultural activity in 2022.

2022 mark the Centennial of Canada’s ornamental horticulture sector on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association; The Canadian Garden Council is committed to celebrating the contribution of gardens and gardening to the development of our country, our cities and the lives of Canadians in terms of health, quality of life, reconciliation, inclusion and environmental challenges. 2022 will be an opportunity for new and seasoned garden and gardening enthusiasts, families, schools, to go out into their own garden, visit a public garden, and urban park or garden centre, participate in a garden activity. In that context,

SLHS sent a letter to all directors of Saint-Lambert's primary schools telling them about the 500$ grant given for horticultural activity in 2022.
