Remembering Cynthia Seath
Published on July 28, 2020 by St. Lambert Choral Society

The St. Lambert Choral Society honours the memory of Cynthia Seath, former chorister of the SLCS from 1948 to 1996. She died on July 11th at the age of 93.

Born in St. Lambert in 1927, Cynthia Seath was the oldest daughter of George Kenneth Wallace, founder and owner of the Wallace Garage on rue St. Denis, and of Elizabeth Wallace, one of the co-founders of St. Lambert’s Bibliothèque commémorative.

Cynthia Seath was the mother of Betty-Jo Christiani (wife of David Christiani) and Candy Seath. A rare occurrence: all 3 were first sopranos and sang together in the SLCS from the end of the 1970s until the mid-1990s.

An exemplary volunteer, Cynthia Seath was also a member of our board of directors, and was treasurer from 1977 to 1979.
