Conference by Anne Panasuk on her book: "Auassat, à la recherche des enfants disparus".
April 24, 2023
01:30 PM - 03:00 PM
Maison Desaulniers, 574 Notre-Dame Avenue

Anne Panasuk was an investigative journalist at Radio-Canada television for 38 years, the last 10 years at the flagship program Enquête. The excellence of her work has been repeatedly recognized. As a journalist, Anne Panasuk extensively reported on the disappearance of Indigenous youth following their hospitalization. In June 2021, she was appointed as a special advisor for the support of families of missing Indigenous children by the Quebec government. Her book, "Auassat, à la recherche des enfants disparus", was published a year ago. More than 100 indigenous children have disappeared after being evacuated for medical care in Quebec. How can a child go missing? How can we trace them? How can we address the difficulties and hopes of the indigenous families? This will be the topic of her conference on April 24th starting at 1:30 p.m.

Conference available to members; non-members should inquire if there is space available.
