For the 100th anniversary of the Saint-Lambert’s Cenotaph, the Mouillepied Historical Society is presenting, as part of the Rentrée culturelle, a conference by Mrs. Denyse Lemay, about the role played by the Royal Canadian Legion, between 1936 and 2016.

This conference will highlight the activities organized by the Legion to preserve the memory of the exceptional participation of Saint Lambert’s volunteer soldiers during the two World Wars, and its vital role in the development of sports at a time when the city was still not responsible for its organization.

Photos and film extracts will illustrate the conference, and the accompanying exhibition will present a few portraits of Saint-Lambert soldiers, making the participation of our community, even more meaningful.
