The first community organization in Québec to offer services to caregivers who are looking after an elderly loved one, the Centre de soutien entr’Aidants was founded on June 4, 1990 to address a community need.

Its MISSION is to support and assist caregivers who are looking after an elderly loved one.

Its VISION is that all caregivers, regardless of their circumstances, should be able to help their loved one while preserving their own physical, psychological and financial health.

The organization espouses the following values in its words and deeds: RIGOUR and TRANSPARENCY in the decision-making process, constant concern for the QUALITY and PERTINENCE of its services, and RESPECT for caregivers’ needs.

It serves the following territories: Brossard, Saint-Lambert and the Longueuil boroughs of Greenfield Park, Saint-Hubert and Vieux-Longueuil–LeMoyne sector.

The Centre de soutien entr’Aidants offers workshops (exhaustion prevention, self-esteem, stress management, and accompanying a loved one at end of life), thematic monthly meetings (coffee meetings) to support caregivers in their role, individual support, assistance in processes, talks, and a Caregiver Recognition Day. To facilitate access to our services, we also offer free transportation, provided by volunteers.

Last year (2018-2019), the organization offered its bilingual services to 6,366 participants.
